Former singer, songwriter and musician Nurine Shalita, is an Oregon native who shared her songs in her church until a stroke silenced her voice. Despite being completely paralyzed in both legs and one arm-she has found a new way to share her love of life and Lord though watercolor painting. This woman is a true inspiration! In some ways my friend (and genius artist) Gabriel Mark is new school; young (under 40) boyishly handsome, and a rap music aficionado. On the other hand he’s a master oil painter, gallery owner and teacher who has extensively traveled the roads of Europe. Very old school, no? Regardless, I think his latest work speaks for itself. He’ll be in Portland next month. Go check him out! http://www.fineartinsideout.com/
